Are you fed up with feeling...

👉 Confused about what's your autism and what's your eating disorder?

👉 Lost in supporting yourself or a loved one?

👉 Like being autistic is making ED recovery harder?

👉 Trapped in rigid food and movement routines?

👉 Hopeless due to failed treatment, such as FBT?

👉 Terrified that you'll forever struggle with food?

👉 Overwhelmed by all the contradictory recovery advice?

👉 Desperate for a neurodiversity-affirming recovery method?

There Is Hope!

Liv Label Free Coaching offers a neurodiversity-affirming, person-centered approach to breaking free from the mask of fear and limitation. Unlike traditional treatment models that pathologize autism and eating disorders, we view eating issues not as "disorders" but as an Adaptive Eating Spectrum of responses to a neurotypical world.

I was forced in and out of eating disorder treatment for nearly 7 years before being told "I just had to accept the fact that I was never going to get better." It wasn't until I discovered I am autistic that it became clear to me why all the attempts to "treat" my eating disorder never worked – in fact, they had only made my eating disorder WORSE!

My autism discovery gave me the permission slip I needed to recover on my own terms – and now, I'm here to help YOU do the same ♥️

Client testimonial:

“Livia changed my life. As an autistic person that has ED lived experience, she truly 'gets it' like no one else I worked with before. She understands the unique struggles when autism and eating disorders overlap and has genius insights on challenging the eating disorder while embracing the autism. Her guidance helped me break free from rigid patterns while keeping my need for structure and routine. I learned to trust parts of myself that I had pushed away for years. I finally feel confident about my recovery and I couldn’t have done it without her.”

Meet Your Autistic Eating Disorder Recovery Coaches!

Livia Sara – Lead Coach & Founder

As an autistic individual recovered from anorexia, orthorexia, and exercise addiction, I bring lived experience and compassionate guidance to my coaching practice. After being labeled "too complex" and "hopeless" by traditional treatment, I discovered that my autism wasn't the obstacle to recovery – it was the key.

Having walked this path myself, I deeply understand the complex intersection of autism and eating disorders, including existential angst, sensory sensitivities, and the desperate need for predictability in a chaotic world.

My mission is to help you transform what others saw as obstacles into your greatest recovery strengths – after all, every MESSage begins with a MESS!

Can I continue coaching after my program ends?

Once you become a client, you'll receive coaching priority – meaning you won't have to re-apply if you decide to extend your coaching journey with us. Many clients find that after completing their initial program, they want to continue the momentum or address new challenges that arise in their discovery journey.

Client testimonial:

"The sessions and times I had worked with Livia are going to be one of the most valuable experiences I have done. She is extremely knowledgeable in both eating disorders and autism. This is very very rare and she has a gift to explain to me in an angle I have not been able to see and know. If I have to use one word to describe our relationship, I would use the word – connection! True connection is always missing in many relationships and even to ourselves."

Why Traditional Treatment Often Fails Autistic Individuals

Traditional eating disorder treatment wasn't created for autistic minds, and the inflicted trauma is undeniable. Here's what actually happens in most treatment centers:

❌ Your autistic traits get weaponized against you: When you request to view the menu beforehand, they call it "planning to restrict." When you pace to self-regulate, they call it "compulsive exercise."

❌ They use phrases that gaslight your experience: "That's your eating disorder talking" becomes the default response whenever you advocate for your authentic needs. Your request for accommodations gets dismissed as "manipulation."

❌ They push "intuitive eating" without understanding autistic bodies: How are you supposed to eat intuitively when your interoception signals are unreliable? When your nervous system is in constant fight-or-flight? When your sensory sensitivities make certain foods unbearable?

❌ They mistake survival strategies for symptoms: Your routines aren't disordered – they're how you create safety in a chaotic world. But treatment labels them as "behaviors to eliminate."

❌ They misinterpret PDA as defiance: Your demand avoidance isn't treatment resistance – it's your brain's way of preserving autonomy. The more they push, the more you shut down, creating a cycle of failure that they blame on you.

They treat your autism like it's part of the problem (or worse, they label you as the problem). Instead of validating your neurodivergent traits as your greatest strengths, they label them as obstacles to overcome. The result? You leave treatment feeling more hopeless than when you started. But there IS another way! Apply for coaching to find your unique version of freedom today.

Take the First Step to Freedom

Parent testimonial:

“Livia Sara's work is genius and her ability to understand eating disorders, especially when in the mind of an autistic teenager. Words cannot express my gratitude for Livia. I don't know where we would be if we didn't find her. We searched for 2 years to find someone to help us, some one who could shine a light and show us a pathway that would actually work and save our child. We still have some work to do, but with Livia's guidance we move closer every day to my daughter's mental and physical health being restored.”

What Does Full Recovery Even Look Like For An Autistic Person?

I prefer the term “discovery” over “recovery” because recovering from an eating disorder isn't actually about overcoming disordered eating – it's about discovering who you are without the mask of fear and limitation. It's about discovering a life you don't need to escape from.

Through our work together, you'll learn to rewrite your story from one of limitation to liberation, shifting beliefs that have kept you trapped into empowering truths that set you free. We'll uncover your authentic purpose, build goals that align with your deepest values, and create the life you know in your heart you were born to live ♥️

Rather than issuing ultimatums like "smash the scale" or "go all in," my approach is rooted in curiosity and collaboration: How can we turn your MESS into your MESSage? How can we honor your autism while challenging the eating disorder? How can we create safety without sacrificing freedom?

You’re here because – deep inside – you trust that a better life is possible for you.

Let’s go get it, together!

Who is 1-1 Coaching For?

I believe true healing must come from within, meaning the individual must be willing to embark on a journey of positive change. That said, I welcome both neurodivergent individuals and caregivers seeking support for their loved ones.

For Individuals:

My coaching is designed for autistic adults and teens who are committed to breaking free from the constraints of disordered eating and discover their authentic selves. Whether you're in early recovery, stuck in quasi recovery, or seeking a neurodiversity-affirming approach after traditional treatment failed you, I'm here to support your journey.

For Loved Ones:

I understand that many parents, partners, and friends want to support their loved one's recovery journey. If you're applying on behalf of someone else, that's absolutely fine – as long as they are genuinely willing to engage in the coaching process. For those unsure about committing to a full program, I offer single exploratory sessions to determine if we're the right fit.

If you'd like to schedule a single session before committing to a full program, please contact me here.

Coaching is ideal for those who:

  • Feel misunderstood by traditional ED treatment approaches
  • Struggle to distinguish between autistic traits and ED behaviors
  • Want to learn PDA-affirming strategies in ED recovery
  • Are tired of being told they're "too complex" or "treatment-resistant"
  • Want to honor their neurodivergence while creating lasting change
  • Are ready to be active participants in their own discovery journey

Coaching is NOT for those seeking:

  • Quick fixes or weight loss advice
  • Someone to "fix" them or their loved one
  • Forced recovery without personal willingness
  • Traditional treatment methods that disregard neurodiversity

If you or your loved one are curious about what's possible, that curiosity itself is often the first step toward meaningful change.
